Ritec’s On-site Application team renovated and protected more rooflights with the ClearShield Eco-System® in London, this time in the fashionable King’s Road area in Chelsea.
Property developer Martin’s Properties specified ClearShield Eco-System® treatment to six rooflights on a new high-end restaurant being constructed. The System upgrades the ordinary glass surface to ‘non-stick’, easy-clean ClearShield Eco-Glass® which resists staining and discolouration. Because there is less dirt build-up, this helps to maximise quality daylight to central spaces within the building for a more airy feel.
The glass surface upgrade procedure was carried out in two stages. The first stage, renovation, involved the removal of all existing contaminants on the surface, ensuring it is chemically clean. The second stage, protection, is the application of Ritec ClearShield®. This award-winning durable liquid-applied treatment crosslinks with itself and the glass surface, becoming part of it. Once cured and washed down, the procedure is complete, resulting in low-maintenance ClearShield Eco-Glass®.
Chris Darke, Design Manager at Martin’s Properties, commented: “Ritec UK’s handling, from first enquiry through to completion of the work, was seamless and the treatment was successfully progressed without issue and exactly as discussed.”
Any ordinary glass surface – interior or exterior, vertical, sloped or horizontal – can be upgraded to ‘non-stick’, easy-clean ClearShield Eco-Glass®. For more information, visit www.ritec.co.uk.
